InfluenceKit's content approval feature lets you review and approve influencer content before it goes live. This ensures brand safety, message alignment, and content quality.

What is a Content Approval?

A content approval creates a review step in your influencer workflow:

  1. Influencer creates draft content

  2. 2. Influencer submits draft for review

  3. 3. Brand reviews the submission

  4. 4. Brand approves, requests changes, or rejects

  5. 5. Influencer posts approved content

  6. 6. Influencer adds deliverable to track performance

Enabling Content Approvals

On an Assignment:

  1. Create or edit an assignment

  2. 2. Go to Settings

  3. 3. Toggle Require Content Approval to on

  4. 4. Save changes

Approval Options:

  • Require Approval: All content must be approved before posting

  • Optional Approval: Influencers can choose to submit for review

  • No Approval: Content goes live without review

Influencer Submission Process

When submitting for approval, influencers provide:

Required:

  • Content files (images, videos)

  • Caption/text

  • Platform destination

Optional:

  • Posting date/time- Hashtags

  • Additional notes

How Influencers Submit:

  1. Go to their assignment

  2. Click Submit for Approval

  3. Upload content files

  4. Enter caption and details

  5. Add any notes for the brand

  6. Click Submit

Submission Status:

  • Pending - Awaiting review

  • Approved - Ready to post

  • Changes Requested - Needs revision

  • Rejected - Cannot use this content

Reviewing Submissions

From Dashboard:

Pending approvals appear in your notifications. Click to go directly to the submission.

From Assignment:

  1. Open the assignment

  2. Click Approvals tab

  3. View all submissions

Approval Center:

  1. Go to Approvals in navigation

  2. See all pending approvals across campaigns

  3. Filter by campaign, assignment, or date

Taking Action

Approve:

  1. Review the content

  2. Add any notes (optional)

  3. Click Approve

  4. Influencer is notified

Request Changes:

  1. Identify what needs changing

  2. Write clear feedback

  3. Click Request Changes

  4. Influencer receives your notes

Reject:

  1. Explain why content can't be used

  2. Click Reject

  3. Influencer is notified

Providing Feedback

When requesting changes, be specific:

Good Feedback:

  • "Please add the hashtag #BrandPartner"

  • "The product should be more visible in the first image"

  • "Add a disclosure statement at the start of the caption"

Avoid:

  • "This doesn't work"- "Try again"

  • "Not what we wanted"

Approval Best Practices

For Brands:

  • Set clear guidelines and provide brand guidelines upfront

  • Share examples of good content

  • Explain disclosure requirements

  • Review promptly and don't hold up posting schedules

  • Give constructive, specific feedback

For Influencers:

  • Submit complete content with all files, full caption, and hashtags

  • Follow brand guidelines before creating

  • Respond quickly to change requests

  • Communicate if you have concerns
