Kit is your AI assistant inside InfluenceKit. It lives in a slide-out chat panel so you can ask a question without leaving the page you’re on. Open it from the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of your account, type your question, and Kit answers using your live account data.
Kit is available on brand accounts, and is rolling out to creator accounts. What Kit can do adapts to your account — a brand can find and manage influencers, while a creator can track their own content and build reports for clients.
What you can ask Kit
Kit can pull from your account and help you get things done. A few examples:
Account setup — “What’s left to finish setting up my account?” Kit walks through your activation checklist (profile, campaigns, connected accounts, reports).
Performance — “How is my latest campaign doing?” Kit reports impressions, views, engagements, and deliverable counts.
Influencer discovery (brands) — “Find food creators in the UK with over 50k followers.” Kit searches by name, handle, niche, platform, location, follower count, and engagement rate.
Reporting (creators) — “Build a report for my client.” Kit helps you group your content into a campaign and share a report link.
Deliverable troubleshooting — “Why aren’t the stats updating on this post?” Kit checks the connection, looks at the error history, and refreshes the numbers.
Billing and usage — “How much have I used this month?” Kit looks up your plan, quotas, and subscription status.
Payments — “Why hasn’t [creator] been paid yet?” or “What’s the status of my payments?” Kit checks a payment’s status and explains what’s holding it up — waiting on review, an unconnected payout account, and more. Kit can only look up payments, never approve, pay, or cancel one.
Finding your way around — “Where do I create a report?” Kit points you to the right page, and can search the help center to answer how-to questions.
Just ask in plain language — there’s no special syntax to learn.
Kit can show you more than text
When it helps, Kit can respond with interactive content right in the chat instead of a wall of text. You don’t have to turn this on — Kit decides when a richer reply is clearer, so you may or may not see these in a given conversation.
Clickable options
Sometimes the fastest way for Kit to help is to ask you a quick question. Instead of asking you to type, Kit may show a set of clickable options, each with a short description. Pick one and your answer goes straight back into the conversation — no typing required. If the question doesn’t apply, you can usually skip it.
Quick setup forms
When Kit needs a few related answers at once — for example, to set something up — it may show a short, tabbed form. Each tab is one question, completed steps are checked off, and you can skip steps that don’t apply. When you’re done, Kit gets a single summary of your answers and continues.
Inline mini-reports
When you ask how a campaign is performing, Kit may show a compact mini-report card right in the chat — headline tiles for impressions, views, engagements, and deliverables, plus a small performance chart — followed by a sentence or two of commentary. It’s an at-a-glance view built from your campaign’s real numbers, with a link to open the full campaign.
Several conversations at once
You can keep more than one conversation with Kit going. Start a new one with the + in the chat header, or from New chat in the history list.
Each conversation is separate — Kit remembers what was said in the one you’re in and nothing from the others. That’s the point: a thread about why one post’s stats are stuck stays out of the way of a thread about building this month’s client report.
Open conversations show up as tabs above the chat. Click a tab to switch. A dot on a tab means Kit is still working on that conversation — you can switch away and come back when it’s done.
Closing a tab (the ✕ on the tab) only takes it off the strip. The conversation is kept — it’s still in your history.
Chat history
Click the conversation name at the top of the panel to see your history, grouped by when you last spoke: Today, This week, This month, Older. Click any conversation to reopen it where you left off.
Kit names each conversation you start from your first message, so the list reads like a list of questions rather than a list of dates. You can rename one yourself from the … menu.
The conversation called Kit belongs to your whole account: everyone on it sees that one, and it’s where Kit posts proactive tips. It’s the only one you can’t rename or delete. Conversations you start yourself are only yours.
To delete a conversation, hover it in the history list and click the trash icon. Deleting is permanent.
Skills: instructions Kit follows every time
A skill is a standing instruction you write once and switch on for a conversation — your brand voice, the currency you report in, what Kit should do when you paste a link. Instead of retyping “and put the money in GBP” every time, you write it once and turn it on.
Create and edit skills from the Skills menu under the message box — pick Manage skills (or Create a skill if you don’t have any yet). The same page is behind … → Manage skills in the chat header.
Then switch them on per conversation from the Skills menu under the message box. The number next to Skills tells you how many are active in the conversation you’re in.
Clear skills switches all of them off for this conversation. Your skills stay saved.
Turn off on the skills page keeps a skill in your library but stops offering it anywhere.
Delete removes it for good.
Skills are shared across your account, so anyone on your team can write and use them. They apply per conversation, so one thread can run with your client-voice skill on while another runs without it.
Full screen
The chat opens as a panel in the corner, which is right for a quick question. When you want more room — reading through a report Kit built, or working through a long answer — click the expand icon in the header.
Kit remembers how you left it. Expand it once and it opens expanded from then on; shrink it back and it goes back to the corner. There’s no separate setting to change. (On phones the chat always fills the screen, so there’s nothing to expand.)
Opening and managing the chat
Open Kit: click the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of any page.
Ask a follow-up: Kit remembers the conversation you’re in, so you can keep refining (“now show me just Instagram,” “find similar creators”).
Start fresh: the + in the header opens a new conversation, leaving the current one intact.
Clear a conversation: … → Clear this conversation empties the one you’re looking at.
Talk to a person: the Support button in the header reaches the InfluenceKit team.
Email Kit instead of opening the panel
Kit also has an inbox, so you can reach it without logging in.
Reply to our emails. When we email you about something — a social account that needs reconnecting, for example — just reply to that email. Kit reads your reply already knowing which account the notice was about, checks it, and writes back. You don’t need to explain which connection you mean.
Forward a brand deal. Send the offer email to kit@ask.influencekit.com and Kit will read it and pull out the brand, the deliverables, the dates and the fee. It’ll write back with what it found, ask about anything the email didn’t settle, and set the campaign up once you confirm. Forwarding is often the fastest way to get a new campaign into InfluenceKit, because the details are already written down in the email.
Kit’s reply comes from our usual notifications address, but hitting reply sends it back to Kit — so you can keep replying to carry on the conversation.
If you’d rather talk to a person, email help@influencekit.com and someone from our team will pick it up.
A few things worth knowing about email:
Email from the address you sign in with. Kit only answers people it recognises, and it checks that a message really came from the address it claims to. Mail from an address we can’t match to your account gets no reply at all — so if Kit seems to be ignoring you, check which account you sent from.
Kit asks before it creates anything. A forwarded email is somebody else’s words, so Kit treats it as information to read, never as instructions to follow. Your reply is what confirms it.
Kit won’t reply to an automated message, so an out-of-office won’t start a back-and-forth.
Your email conversation lives in email. It won’t show up in the chat panel’s conversation list, so carry on in the thread rather than looking for it in the app.
Good to know
Kit reads from your live InfluenceKit data, so its answers reflect your current campaigns, deliverables, and account.
Kit can take helpful actions on your behalf (like searching or pulling stats). For anything that changes your account, it will confirm with you first.
The interactive options, forms, and mini-reports above appear when Kit judges they’ll help — they’re not on every reply, and that’s by design.
