You can now connect AI assistants like Claude directly to your InfluenceKit account. Instead of copying and pasting data between tabs, just ask your AI assistant to pull campaign stats, create assignments, discover influencers, or diagnose issues — and it will do it for you, live from your InfluenceKit data.
This works through MCP (Model Context Protocol), an open standard that lets AI tools securely connect to the apps you already use. You don’t need to be technical to set it up.
What Can the AI Do?
Once connected, your AI assistant can do different things depending on your account type.
For Brands:
Look up campaigns and deliverables — Ask about performance, stats, or status for any campaign or piece of content.
Create campaigns and assignments — Set up new influencer campaigns and assignment briefs conversationally.
Invite influencers — Send assignment invitations by email and generate signup links.
Discover influencers — Search for creators by niche, platform, follower count, or engagement rate.
Update your brand profile — Set your description, category, products, target audience, and aesthetic.
Check social media connections — Find out if your Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or other platform connections are healthy and authenticated.
Diagnose and fix issues — If a deliverable isn’t pulling stats, the AI can investigate why, clear error states, and refresh statistics.
For Influencers:
View your assignments — See invitations from brands with status, due dates, and performance stats.
Create events and add deliverables — Set up content campaigns on your calendar and add social post URLs.
Check your deliverables — View stats, errors, and connection health across all your content.
Refresh statistics — Ask the AI to trigger a stats re-fetch from the platform API.
Diagnose issues — Find out why a deliverable isn’t pulling stats and get troubleshooting guidance.
Think of it as having an assistant who already knows how to navigate InfluenceKit and can answer your questions instantly.
Who Can Use This?
Account admins can connect an AI assistant. If you’re the only user in your account, you’re the admin. A client who’s been given scoped access to a campaign (see “How to give a client access to a campaign”) can also set up their own connection, limited to whatever that client can already see in the app.
Setting Up
There are two ways to connect. If you use Claude, the plugin is the easiest — it sets up the connection and teaches Claude how to use InfluenceKit well. Any assistant can connect as a custom MCP connector.
The Easy Way: Install the InfluenceKit Plugin (Claude)
The InfluenceKit plugin bundles the connection and gives Claude ready-made skills — building reports, recapping campaigns, discovering creators, and fixing broken deliverables — so you get better answers with less prompting.
In Claude, add the InfluenceKit marketplace:
/plugin marketplace add InfluenceKit/claude-plugin
Install the plugin:
/plugin install influencekit
On first use, sign in with the same browser-based flow you’d use for Google or GitHub to connect your InfluenceKit account.
Once it’s installed, you can ask Claude to run the plugin’s mcp-setup routine to walk you through any connection hiccups.
Manual Setup (ChatGPT, Claude Desktop, and other assistants)
In InfluenceKit, go to Settings → AI Assistant (MCP). That page gives you your personal server URL and step-by-step instructions for Claude, ChatGPT, or any other MCP-compatible assistant — copy the URL, add it as a custom connector in your assistant, and sign in when prompted. No password or API key to paste; it’s the same browser-based sign-in you’d use for Google or GitHub.
Examples: What to Ask
Once connected, you can ask Claude things like:
For brands:
“Show me all active campaigns for Acme Co.”
“Create a new campaign called Summer Trails 2026.”
“Find outdoor influencers with at least 10,000 followers and 3% engagement rate.”
“Create an assignment for an Instagram Reel and invite chris@example.com.”
“Why isn’t this Instagram deliverable pulling stats?”
“Check if our YouTube connection is still working.”
“Refresh the stats on deliverable #12345.”
“What deliverables are in an error state right now?”
For influencers:
“Show me my current assignments and their status.”
“Create an event called ‘Summer Collab’ and add this Instagram post to it.”
“Which of my deliverables have errors right now?”
“Refresh the stats on my latest TikTok deliverable.”
Just type naturally — Claude understands what you’re asking and will pull the right data from InfluenceKit automatically.
Security and Privacy
We know you’re trusting this connection with your account, so here’s how it stays safe:
OAuth sign-in, not a shared password. Connecting uses the same browser-based sign-in flow as the rest of InfluenceKit. No password or API key gets pasted into your assistant.
Bound to what the connected account can see. The AI acts as the person who connected it — an admin can do more than a scoped client member, and neither can see another tenant’s data.
Quota-enforced operations. The AI can create campaigns, assignments, events, and deliverables within your account’s plan limits.
Deletions require explicit confirmation. The AI can delete things like events and reports, but only after it asks you to confirm — it won’t do it as a side effect of an unrelated request.
You can revoke access at any time. Go to your connected apps (
/oauth/authorized_applications) in InfluenceKit and revoke the connection there. Removing the connector from your assistant alone doesn’t revoke it on our end.
