After creating an assignment, the next step is to invite influencers to participate.
Important: influencers need their own account to complete your assignment. Influencer accounts are always free.
Add an influencer
Open Add Influencer and use the single field. Paste whatever you have — a handle, an email address, or just a name — and click Look up.
What happens next depends on what we find:
They already have an InfluenceKit account. We attach to it, so their reach and impressions come straight from their connected accounts rather than from public data.
They’re already on your roster. We use the record you already have, so you don’t retype anything.
We find a public profile. We show you what we found so you can check it’s the right person before adding them.
You entered an email address. We add them and email them an invitation to this assignment.
You entered a name only. We add them, and ask you for a handle or an email so we can reach them.
If the person is already on this campaign, we’ll say so and link you to their row instead of adding a duplicate.
Share a link instead
If you don’t know their handle and don’t have their email, get a link from the same panel and send it however you’re already talking to them — a DM, a text, your own email.
Whoever opens the link identifies themselves by connecting a social account, and joins this campaign. Everyone who opens it uses the same link, so you can post it once.
A creator with no social account to connect — a newsletter writer or a podcaster, for example — can sign up with an email address from the same page.
The link stays the same each time you open the panel, so one you’ve already sent keeps working.
Send the invitation yourself
The Email Template tab gives you the invitation copy to send from your own address. This helps when you’re working with an influencer for the first time and they don’t know InfluenceKit yet — an email from you is more likely to be opened than one from us.
Bulk Invite takes a list of email addresses at once.
After you’ve invited them
We follow up and remind them to accept if they don’t respond right away, and we notify you once they accept.
Once they’ve accepted, they do two things:
Connect their social accounts — this lets InfluenceKit compile stats for their content securely and accurately.
Add their deliverables — this builds the report they’ll share with you.
Their report then updates automatically.
